Summer Internship Program (SIP) is the most important component of PGDM, which paves the way for the student's career choices and placement opportunities. This program is intended to focus on application of skills of young and aspiring managers to lead and manage business enterprises, by bridging the gap between the classroom learning in the campus and experience in the corporate world. It is an attempt to bridge the gap in the Student's perception between the academic institution and corporate world. Under this program, Students would undertake an eight week internship in an organization. The internship is designed to enable the Students to learn from real work environment that would help the Students undergo the rigor of professional environment both in form and substance. SIP exposes the students to technical skills, and helps them acquire social skills by drawing them into contact with professionals.
Internship is a vehicle for inducting students to real life situation, which cannot be simulated in the classroom. Students are encouraged to take up time bound multi disciplinary and goal oriented assignment involving teamwork. Solutions to various problems confronted during the assignment might be open ended, involving an element of analytical thinking, processing and decision making in the face of insufficient data parameters and uncertain situations.
