Categories of Posts
There are three major categories of faculty members at ABS. Consultants / Advisors, Full Time Faculty, and Adjunct and Associate Faculty
Consultants / Advisors
Senior Academicians / practitioners are appointed on a consolidated honororium as consultants / advisors. They provide guidance and support to the academic system and process of ABS. They involve in lot of mentoring activities apart from teaching courses for the students. They also would help the institution in conducting MDPs, Short Term courses, Consulting, and research activities.
Appointment Process
Based on the invitation made by ABS, consultants and advisors are appointed a contractual basis initially for a period of one year and to be renewed based on the mutual interest.
Full Time Faculty
Full time faculty members are appointed in three different positions as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor.
They involve in all the academic, quasi-academic and administrative activities and roles of the institution.
Eligibility Criterion for Faculty Positions
Assistant Professor
MBA / Postgraduate in allied subject with more than 60 % marks and with a minimum of two years of teaching / professional / industry experience
Associate Professor
Ph.D. in management or allied subject and MBA / postgraduate with 60 % marks and with five or more years of teaching and industry experience or MBA / postgraduate with 60 % marks with more than ten years of teaching / industry experience
Professor
Ph.D. in management or allied subject and MBA / postgraduate with 60 % marks and with ten or more years of teaching and industry experience or MBA / postgraduate with 60 % marks with more than fifteen years of teaching / industry experience.
Selection Process
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates. The applications would be forwarded to the Faculty Council and a committee of experts specially appointed for the purpose would interview shortlisted candidates. Shortlisted candidates after the interview process would make a formal presentation to the faculty council and also in front of faculty and students. On the basis of recommendations made by the faculty council, full time faculty are appointed initially for one year and to be renewed for next three years based on the performance and mutual interest.
