Club activities
To make student life at ABS exciting and useful, effective way to turn the leisure time into captivating adventure is created in the form of exciting club activities.
The Schools’ clubs and associations offer some of the most memorable, interesting and enjoyable aspects of this organization which represent students' interests and concerns within the wider school community. There are two categories of clubs that are facilitated by the Faculty and run by the students: professional and general clubs (leisure time clubs.)

Activities organized by Student Clubs of ABS include distinguished speakers, conferences, and social events that enrich the entire community and the professional growth of the students. The clubs are run by the students and the faculty help in facilitating and providing enough opportunities for their growth. Student’s involvement with these clubs is on any level — as participant, member, or a coordinator.
The clubs are divided into professional and general clubs. The professional clubs include the HR club, Entrepreurship cell (tenderfoot), the Stock Market club, and the general clubs include Nature club, Tourism club.
Professional Clubs
Entrepreneurial cell
The purpose of the Professional Entrepreneurship Club is to explore the excitement and the rigors of entrepreneurship coupled with an annual exploration of a plausible product or service through the development of a business plan. The Entrepreneurship Club brings together both students and professionals sharing an interest in the field of entrepreneurship using the resource persons connected with NEN. In addition to the business plan and gathering of entrepreneurial colleagues, the club brings in guest speakers with valuable professional experiences to interact with the students and develop the spirit of entrepreneurship.
The Entrepreneurship cell aims to provide a platform where the students can access relevant entrepreneurial resources, network with prominent community entrepreneurs, and share ideas. To this end, the cell is dedicated to understanding about new or small businesses, and about entrepreneurship in all businesses. The cell will ensure that many activities to meet this end are facilitated to the students.

HR Club: SYNERGY-The HR Club
Purpose of HR Club:The objective of HRM society is to promote the art and science of management and development for public benefit. The HR club creates an environment for members to learn from each other and promotes our members contribution.
As professionals, members recognize that they represent themselves and the HR club and they maintain, at all times , the highest ethical standards in business and in the HR club. Every HR club member, whatever grade of membership, will conduct all his/her relationships in accordance with the spirit and letter of our code, and in a professional and respectful manner. This is the prerequist for growth and prosperity of HR club and of its members.
Objectives:
- To uphold the highest ideals in HR management, enhancing the recognition and value of our profession.
- To be rocognized as most authoritive voice on HR management issues, to be professional body and leading authority and influence, and to set agenda for HR professionals.
- To promote and encourage cooperation and amicable relations between members, and with members of other organizations, to provide a medium through which information of interest or value to members may be readily gathered and communicated, by arranging periodical meetings of the club
- Participate in projects, to produce service and reports and to publish the results of such research: To publish journals, reports, books, newsletters, electronic media and other material: To establish and maintain a library and associated information services.

- Advertising Clubs
Ideas galore! That's what the Ad Club at ABS exemplifies. With budding Copywriters and Graphic Designers all coming together under one name, the Club performs various activities like designing advertisements for social causes, conducting AD based competitions in the management festivals @ ABS, brainstorming sessions and many more of such related tasks. The Club simulates the industry atmosphere and prepares the students to enter the field and work with ease. The club also organizes various discussion forums, seminars with marketing heads of various companies, who make themselves available to interact with the students and answer all their queries.
Mission: To provide a forum for professional growth, serve as a catalyst for the enhancement and advancement of students in the corporate world and promote social endeavors.
The purpose of starting the Ad club is to give the students the much desired space in the field of creative ad making in print, electronic and internet media. The activities conducted would enable them to learn the terminology and working style of the advertising industry. The purpose is to increase advertising and marketing effectiveness through the development and refinement of objective tools and knowledge. It plans to have combined membership of advertisers, ad agencies, research firms, media companies, educational institutions and international organizations.

- Stock Market Club
‘Bulls and Bears’ It is a completely student driven club and provides great exposure to the students as they get to interact with eminent personalities from the industry and discuss the contemporary issues facing the world of finance. The markets rise, the markets fall but only a few brave the rough water of the equity market.
The Objective:
Learning to invest, improvise and earn is an exercise that this club encourages through the virtual stock market games. The participants invest through a dedicated virtual investment portal. The data on the portal would be fed directly from the stock exchanges providing participants with real-time information/data. The individual with the highest portfolio value at the end of the session with the maximum transactions gets the maximum points
- Through the Stock Market Club the students learn:
- About the basic strategies used at the stock market.
- About comparing the reciprocal of the P/E ratio of stable stocks to the prevailing interest rate
- About arbitrage and hedging.
- Stops and limits and how they can be used to cut the losses
- About warrants and options and how to leverage their investments because the price movements are a greater percentage of the invested capital but still mirror those of the underlying stock.
- About the basic life cycle of a business and the concepts of technical analysis vs fundamental analysis.
- About cash, which is an investment and how one should decide on what percentage of the portfolio to keep as cash, buying stock to rebalance to that percentage when the stocks drop in value and selling stocks to return to that percentage when they go up.

Theatre Club:
- The club aims to increase access to a wide variety of art forms, provide behind-the-scenes insights into the sector, and create a dynamic community of arts enthusiasts. The activities may involve in hosting theatre festivals etc.
- Students at the Qadir Ali Baig’s theatre festival.
- Students of ABS being trained in dance by Rohit Tiwari star dancer trained by Shaimak Davar Institute of Dance
Nature Club:
The mission of the Nature Club is to educate business leaders in the making, on the important relationship between business and environment. Our members need to be trained to view environmental considerations as a key element to achieve business success.
The Nature Club would serve as a vehicle for identifying innovative sustainability practices and eco-friendly market opportunities and communicating them to the members of ABS family.
The club would have the following endeavors:
- Promote use of bicycle and reduce carbon footprint.
- Work towards providing potable drinking water at affordable price.
- Propagate use of Green products and eliminate the usage of plastics
- Plant more trees and promote this among the students.
Tourism Club
Those students participating in involve in tourism club will undertake the following activities.
Will prepare reports on tourist centers, covering market potential for tourism promotion utilizing statistical data from tourism boards and enlist the advantages of such those destinations from the point of view of domestic and international tourists. They will present the reports to an invited audience.
Create awareness on the benefits of tourism in association with local tourism development corporations.
Mobilize resources from students and organize educational tours.
Negotiating with Tourist operators, exploring tourism assignments, designing customized tours.
Educating and initiating various other activities on health tourism, business tourism, spa tourism and cultural tourism.
Example:
The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation has started Tourism Clubs in schools for bringing about awareness on culture, heritage and tourist spots in the State.
In a press note issued here, the APTDC stated that outstanding students of the schools in academic and sports were made members of the clubs. Each club comprises one student from various Business schools
The APTDC offers 15 percent discount in accommodation and discount on transportation and boating for the booking made through the clubs. However, the discount facility can be availed by a letter issued by the school head office sent to the Corporation. The APTDC will give brochures and posters to the clubs. A teacher of the facilitator would oversee the functioning of the Tourism Club. Besides, the APTDC conducts familiarization tours for students and faculties, it added.
Objectives of the various clubs:

Results expected:
They develop expertise in running a club and take initiatives to conduct events for the benefit of the students.
Enhance their entrepreneurial skills and abilities.
Make them sensitive towards social causes and a better human being.
Build their confidence and organizing skills.
Clubs need to inspire, enable, and support students to create social value and strengthen their communities. We recognize that students may do this through personal and professional pursuits in nonprofit, public, and for-profit organizations.
Student Activities Assessment
To help students in personal grooming, special sessions are held on business etiquettes, negotiation skills and effective communication.
To help students to become efficient team members and effective leader, special classes on leadership, teamwork and analytical skills are held inside and outside the classes. Guests from the industry and resource persons from various fields conduct training programs for our students. By the end of the sessions the students are rated by the individual faculty, resource persons according to their level of participation and involvement. The final rating is done after the students submit their report on all the activities in the semester. The reports are submitted in soft and hard copies.
