Before the commencement of the 1st semester course work, the students go for a weeklong field visit called Experience India. It is a unique program comprising of a visit to organisations engaged in social development activities. This is followed by a presentation of their experiences using exhibits at ABS. The objectives of this visit are as follows:
- To create an opportunity for students to visit to rural/urban/semi urban location to study social and environmental issues
- To improve their observational skills by documenting issues observed
- To encourage them to use problem solving methodologies
- To orient the students to approach the entire program through practical and action oriented approach
