Philosophy & Paradigm

Driven by its commitment towards the “Learning Beyond the Classroom” ideology, Aurora’s Business School (ABS) is continually striving to create a system that would foster a culture of competence and dedication with high levels of social responsibility. In the light of these principles, ABS takes its students through a journey of enquiry, exploration, experience, experimentation and enterprise while leading them to excitement and not just examination.

The following are the important elements of ABS ‘Paradigm of Management Education’:

Project Based Learning
They are an add-on to the actual course curriculum and place students in active roles while serving as specific and significant educational goals.

Case Analysis
During their 2 year course, students are exposed to case studies and caselets which provide them an opportunity to explore and experiment with alternative solutions to the various (live) problems in the business world.

Field Visits
They provide students an opportunity to gain a firsthand experience of the dynamic and complex business situations.

Research Reviews
As a part of their 2 year program, students are encouraged to undertake guided book reviews, articles (publications) and dissertations which enable them to gain a deep insight into the various business problems. Research Reviews facilitate students to work towards solving these real time problems and enables them to present logical and pragmatic solutions and ideas for the same.

Seminars and Presentations
At ABS, students are encouraged to organize and participate in professional seminars and presentations which shall equip them with the necessary communication and presentation skills and serve as a confidence booster.

Workshops
Students are provided an opportunity to participate in behavioral workshops relating to personality development, professional development, etc. which shall aid in molding them through various experiential techniques.

Interaction with Leaders
Students are provided an opportunity to interact with world class leaders from business, social, political and other arenas who can serve as role models and can act as a source of inspiration.

Quizzes & Problem Solving Exercise
Quizzes, simulations, role plays and similar experiential learning techniques are extensively used at ABS, to develop the general awareness skills and decision making abilities of the students.

Student Activities
Being the most important element of the paradigm of “Learning Beyond the Classroom”, student activities are essentially focused towards exciting students about business education. As a part of these activities, students are encouraged to participate actively in oratory/debating clubs, social activities, various sports & games.

Yoga and Meditation
Yoga and meditation classes are offered to students to help them attain equanimity of body, soul and mind.
